Revenue exceeded the yearly plan

According to the An Giang Department of Tourism , by the end of October 2025, the whole province welcomed more than 21.3 million visitors, an increase of 21.7% over the same period last year and exceeding the annual plan by 1.5%. Of which, international visitors reached more than 1.38 million, an increase of 65.7%, showing the increasingly clear attraction of An Giang tourism in the international market.

Along with the increase in the number of visitors, total revenue from tourism reached over VND 56,000 billion, up 78.2% over the same period and exceeding 42.6% of the 2025 plan. This result reflects the effectiveness of tourism promotion, cooperation and development cooperation and the support of the business community.

According to Director of An Giang Department of Tourism - Bui Quoc Thai - exceeding the plan in both number of visitors and revenue after 10 months is clear evidence of the right direction in the province's tourism development strategy. "Tourism is identified as an important driving force to promote economic growth, contributing to creating positive changes in socio-economics and enhancing the image of An Giang in the integration process. On that basis, the province is aiming for a sustainable, professional, in-depth tourism development strategy, ready to welcome international events, including the APEC Summit 2027", said Mr. Thai.

In recent years, An Giang has implemented a systematic tourism development strategy, effectively exploiting the advantages of spiritual, ecological and island tourism. Many typical destinations such as Sam Mountain, Ba Chua Xu Temple (Chau Doc), Hang Pagoda - Hon Phu Tu, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, Chau Giang Cham Village, Ha Tien, Phu Quoc, Hon Son, Nam Du... continue to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists.

In addition, the province focuses on investing in transport infrastructure, airports, passenger ports, wharves, and at the same time developing a system of high-quality resorts, hotels, and homestays. Communication and promotion activities are promoted with a variety of content and forms; strengthening cooperation with major travel agencies to bring tours to An Giang, supporting businesses and the community to participate in tourism development.

According to the An Giang Provincial Tourism Association, the results exceeded the 2025 plan early thanks to the strong recovery of domestic tourism, especially festival and spiritual tourism such as Tao Dan Chieu Anh Cac Festival (Ha Tien), Ba Chua Xu Festival (Chau Doc), the death anniversary of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc (Rach Gia)... Notably, Phu Quoc continues to play the role of a growth engine, with diverse tourism products and the appearance of the new airline Sun Phu Quoc Airways, contributing to stimulating tourism demand.

In addition, the launch of new tourist attractions, along with all-inclusive tourism stimulus packages at reasonable prices, and short-term vacation tours from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, etc. to Phu Quoc have attracted a large number of domestic and international tourists.

To welcome the wave of tourists in late 2025 and early 2026, tourism businesses in the province are focusing on improving service quality, renewing products, focusing on human resource training, improving foreign languages and service culture. This is an important preparation step for An Giang to complete the goal of welcoming over 39.5 million visitors by 2030, including more than 3 million international visitors, with total revenue reaching over 108,450 billion VND, gradually affirming its position as an attractive tourist destination with its own identity in the ASEAN region.
