Spreading the image of a peaceful, humane and culturally rich Vietnam through the "Happy Vietnam" 2025 award

On the evening of December 6, at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square (Hanoi), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Hanoi People's Committee and relevant units to organize the award ceremony of the "Happy Vietnam" 2025 Human Rights Media Award.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh awarded the first prize in the photo category to author Pham Ngoc Long Thien with the work "Vietnam in the era of rising up".

Attending the program were comrade Mai Van Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, and representatives of ministries, branches, international organizations and embassies of countries in Vietnam.

2025 is the third year that the “Happy Vietnam” Media Award is held online on the national image promotion platform Vietnam.vn. This is a popular award, open to all audiences with the goal of encouraging people in the country, the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends to create photos and videos about the country and people of Vietnam using modern digital tools.

After more than 4 months of launching, the organizing committee has received more than 17 thousand photos and videos. The jury has selected 36 winning works and selected 150 photos and 29 typical videos to display at the exhibition "Happy Vietnam". Each work reflects a true slice, capturing emotional moments of the country's transformation, contributing to creating a vivid picture of a civilized Vietnam, rich in identity and rising strongly on the journey of integration and development.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized: After three years of organization, the award has gone beyond the framework of a traditional photo and video contest to become a national award, attracting nearly 40,000 entries. Outstanding and typical works have been introduced in many localities across the country, from Dien Bien Phu celebrating the 70th anniversary of the historic victory to Hanoi in the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, from dynamic Hai Phong to vibrant and vibrant Ho Chi Minh City.

The works have also been introduced to international friends through exhibitions and cultural events in Sochi (Russian Federation), Bangkok (Thailand), Venezuela, Australia, Sweden and will soon appear in Chile, Hungary, Finland and Brunei. In addition, 97 Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad have used these works in activities to promote the national image, contributing to spreading the message of a peaceful, humane and unique Vietnam.

At the award ceremony, the organizing committee awarded the first prize in the photo category to author Pham Ngoc Long Thien with the work "Vietnam in the era of rising up" and the first prize in the video category to author Luu Minh Khuong with the work "Happy smiles".

This year, the organizers awarded a creative award to honor works with new ideas in content and form, along with an award voted by the audience.

Within the framework of the program, the organizers called for attention and sharing with the people of the Central region and localities facing difficulties. Delegates attending the ceremony performed the "Lighting up Happiness" ritual to spread the image of a happy, strong and hopeful Vietnam.
