Images of 5 modern missiles of Su30-MK2 fighter jet released for the first time

Five types of missiles including: R-27ER1 air-to-air, Kh-31A air-to-ship, RVV-AE air-to-air, Kh-31P air-to-ground and R-27ET1 air-to-air are all modern weapons that the Su30-MK2 can carry, which have just been announced at the national achievements exhibition.

At the exhibition of national achievements (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi), the outdoor exhibition area of ​​the Ministry of National Defense is divided into 8 areas: 1 administrative area and 7 weapon and equipment areas (including navy, air defense - air force; electronic warfare, communications; ground artillery, self-propelled artillery; special weapons).

Here, the army announced 96 products of 61 types of equipment. Among them, many weapons are participating in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 such as Scud-B missiles, S-125-VT missiles, T90S tanks, self-propelled artillery...

Notably, at the air defense - air force exhibition area, for the first time the missile complexes of the Su30-MK2 fighter jet were announced.

Accordingly, there are 5 types of missiles including: R-27ER1 air-to-air missile , a missile with a semi-active radio homing head, used to destroy long-range air targets in any weather conditions in the front and rear hemispheres, in conditions where the target flies higher or lower, and in conditions of enemy interference.

The missile is 4.775 m long, 0.23 m in body diameter, 0.26 m in cavity. The missile weighs 350 kg, the combat part weighs 39 kg; maximum launch range is 70 km, minimum launch range is 0.5 km; target altitude from 0.02 - 27 km; attacks in all directions.

The Kh-31A air-to-ship missile is designed to destroy destroyers operating independently as well as as part of a strike group (fleet), in simple and complex weather conditions, day and night.

Kh-31A weighs 605 kg, combat mass 94.5 kg, 4.7 m long, 0.36 m diameter; has a maximum launch range of up to 50 - 70 km with a target with a 5,000 m ² reflective surface; 25 km with a target with a 500 m ² reflective surface .

The RVV-AE air-to-air missile is a type of missile with a combined radio-navigation and inertial control system used to destroy airborne targets, including highly maneuverable fighter and attack aircraft. The missile can operate effectively day and night, in simple and complex weather conditions, on the background of ground and sea interference when there is active enemy interference.

RVV-AE weighs 173 kg, the warhead weighs 22.5 kg, is 3.6 m long, and has a diameter of 0.2 m. This missile has a maximum launch range of 50 km.

The Kh-31P air-to-ground missile is a tactical missile with a passive radio homing head used to destroy active radio radars that are part of short-, medium-, and long-range air defense missile systems, control, communication, and target designation equipment of automated air defense systems, as well as other types of ground radars in the 2 mm - 1 m wavelength range in all weather conditions.

The Kh-31P missile is 4.7 m long, weighs 5.9 kg, has a warhead of 85 kg, a wing span of 1.11 m, and a diameter of 0.36 m. This missile has a maximum launch range of 110 km, and a target range of no less than 15 km.

The R-27ET1 air-to-air missile is an infrared homing missile designed to destroy long-range air targets in any weather conditions in the front and rear hemispheres, in conditions where the target flies higher or lower, and in conditions of enemy interference.

The R-27ET1 is 4.49 m long, weighs 347 kg, has a 39 kg warhead, a 0.972 m wingspan, and a 0.23 m fuselage diameter. The missile has a maximum launch range of 70 km and a minimum of 0.3 km.

According to the staff at the display area, the above missiles are all heavy weapons that can be mounted on the Su30-MK2 fighter. This is the first time this complex has been announced at the exhibition. Depending on the combat plan, this fighter will be equipped with different missiles or can be equipped with bombs. When using these missiles, the Su30-MK2 can destroy large targets such as warships and ground fortifications.
