According to the synthesis report from agencies and units, recently, the functional forces under the Ministry of National Defense have synchronously and resolutely deployed assigned tasks under the direction of the Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of National Defense and the head of the General Staff - Head of the IUU Steering Committee of the Ministry of National Defense.

Last week, the Ministry of National Defense continued to maintain more than 50 ships on duty in the sea areas and used 2 seaplanes to patrol and control against IUU fishing 24/24 hours in the adjacent sea areas. Regarding the work of registering entry and exit, patrolling and controlling at fishing ports, anchorage areas, beaches, river mouths, coastal areas, and near-shore islands, during the week, the Border Guard completed procedures for entry and exit of fishing vessels participating in fishing activities through border posts and stations for 11,224 fishing vessels, ensuring full documents and technical safety equipment according to regulations. Patrols and controls were organized by 676 teams/2,935 officers and soldiers/133 vehicles; during the patrol process, 1,380 fishing vessels operating near the shore were checked and controlled.

Regarding the results of digital transformation in anti-IUU fishing management, the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ) coordinated with functional agencies inside and outside the Army to continue to carry out the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 198/CD-TTg, Decision No. 2310/QD-TTg dated October 1, 2025 and at the 23rd meeting of the National Steering Committee on anti-IUU fishing.
Specifically, the Group has completed connecting the Ministry of National Defense's fishing vessel management system with the VNelD application and the electronic seafood traceability system (eCDT) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ; Completed upgrading the Ministry of National Defense's fishing vessel management software, ready to receive and respond to requests from the VNeID application, the eCDT system serving port entry and exit registration and entry and exit on the VNeID application.

To serve the inspection team of the European Commission (EC) and the determination to remove the yellow card for Vietnam's seafood exports, the Head of the IUU Steering Committee of the Ministry of National Defense requested the functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, and units to continue to closely coordinate with localities, use synchronous measures with the highest determination; continue to study and increase the number of patrol and on-duty ships to improve the effectiveness of control at sea.
Along with that, the Head of the IUU Steering Committee of the Ministry of National Defense also requested the functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense to continue to research and review the arrangement of forces on duty at sea in the most reasonable and effective way, especially prioritizing forces and means for key routes; resolutely detect, prevent and resolutely handle violations.
