Women of Military Region 7: Creative in action, spreading love

From the sunny and windy training grounds to the remote border roads, everywhere you can see the images of women in the Military Region 7. They are silent flowers spreading their fragrance through creative actions and deep affection, contributing to improving the quality of training, caring for soldiers' lives, strengthening the relationship between the army and the people, and spreading the image of women in the Army in the new era.

Stick to the task, proactively innovate the movement

In the dry heat of the last month of the year, on the training ground of Division 5, the soldiers' training calls mingled with the clear laughter of the unit's female union members who were busy bringing cool water and sweets to support the soldiers. That simple yet warm image became a familiar beauty of the "Supporting the training season" model, which has been effectively maintained by the unit's female union members for many years.

As one of the typical examples, Major Nguyen Thi Ha Ban, President of the Women's Union of Regiment 5 (Division 5), shared that each bottle of water, though small, contains feelings and beliefs, helping soldiers gain more determination to overcome challenges and complete training tasks well. Thereby, the image of women in Division 5 becomes more gentle, resilient and devoted.

At the 23rd Information Brigade, her comrades were familiar with the image of Major Nguyen Thu Hien, a communications officer of Battalion 40, who was diligent and creative in performing her duties. Responding to the model of "Entering the computer room is entering the combat position", she constantly researched and innovated to ensure a smooth information system. Her initiative "Electronic shift notice board" was highly appreciated for its applicability. With a sense of responsibility and passion for work, she was twice awarded the title of Emulation Soldier of the whole army.

In recent years, closely following the direction of the Party Committee and the Military Region 7 Command, women's work and the women's movement have had many innovations, focusing on implementing the political tasks of each agency and unit. The school sector has implemented the model of "Competition to study well, practice seriously, speak well, do good work"; "Good lesson plans, good lectures". The hospital and military medical sector has launched the Movement "Good medical theory, solid medical skills, shining medical ethics"; "Friendly smile". Enterprises and economic-defense groups have promoted the Movement "Competition to work well, work creatively"; "Skilled workers in the textile industry". These models clearly demonstrate the mettle, intelligence and creativity of women in Military Region 7 in the new period.

From the emulation movement, many outstanding results were recorded. In just 5 years, the Military Region's women's association had 31 members with postgraduate degrees, 412 members with university, college and intermediate degrees; 76 projects and technical initiatives were effectively applied. Every year, 100% of the association organizations successfully completed their tasks, nearly 47% of the associations achieved strong, excellent strong; over 98% of the cadres and members successfully completed their tasks, of which more than 40% achieved the title of Excellent Women Cadres and Excellent Women Members.

Spread love through simple actions

Late afternoon in the Tay Ninh border area, Major Phan Thi Kim Oanh, President of the Women's Union of Regiment 4 (Division 5) and members visited and gave gifts to orphans. As soon as he saw Ms. Oanh, little Le Chi Dai, born in 2021, in Thanh Dong hamlet, Thanh Dien ward (Tay Ninh) ran to hug her and called "Mom Oanh". The boy's innocent smile touched everyone.

Le Chi Dai's biological mother died of the Covid-19 epidemic when he was just born. His father worked as a hired hand, so the family's economy was very difficult. Since 2021, Ms. Oanh and the Women's Union of Regiment 4 have adopted baby Dai in the program "Godmother - love and share". Every month, the sisters visit, give clothes, milk, books, rice... worth more than 1 million VND and give the baby love. Thanks to that care, baby Dai is more courageous and grows up healthy day by day.

Le Chi Dai is just one of 1,654 children orphaned by the Covid-19 pandemic that have been adopted by the women's organizations of Military Region 7 since 2021, with a total support fund of more than 2.7 billion VND. Along with that, the charity models of the women of the Military Region have mobilized more than 18.4 billion VND to support people, women in border areas, poor students, disadvantaged comrades and policy families.

Major General Tran Chi Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, affirmed: From cool bottles of water on the training ground to loving arms at the border, women of Military Region 7 not only excellently completed political tasks but also demonstrated their aspirations to rise up with a profound humanitarian spirit. The simple but emotional models have contributed to the movements launched by women of Military Region 7 spreading more and more strongly, creative in action, loving in every work, humane in every heart. They are the solid support of their comrades, the fire that keeps the military-civilian relationship warm, beautifying the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the image of women in the Army with "courage, intelligence, discipline, and humanity".
