Together to overcome the flood
On the morning of November 26, after many days of urgently supporting the recovery of natural disasters, more than 200 officers and soldiers of Military Region 7 completed their mission in D'ran commune. Previously, on the morning of November 21, the forces were present at the scene, participating in rescue and evacuation of people from flooded areas when Don Duong Lake discharged floodwaters.

As the water receded, tons of mud and garbage covered many residential areas. The army continued to coordinate with local authorities to clean up and wash the roads and houses. At the same time, garbage, animal carcasses, and remaining wastewater were treated according to safe procedures, ensuring environmental hygiene.

Not only supporting evacuation and cleanup, the chemical and medical forces of Military Region 7 also disinfect residential areas, schools, medical stations, religious facilities... to prevent the risk of disease after the flood.

Sowing hope
Along with the heavy damage to housing, property and agricultural production, the people of D'ran are facing many difficulties in stabilizing their lives. However, with support from many sides, hope is being kindled every day.

Mr. Tran Dinh Hieu (Quang Lac village), one of the households whose house completely collapsed, shared: "Despite the great loss, thanks to the help of the army, my family has gradually stabilized. The important thing is that as long as we have people and land, we will try to rise up."
In some areas at high risk of landslides such as Duong Moi village, Lac Thien 2, Phu Thuan 3, local authorities have proactively evacuated 61 households to safe places, and closely monitored the geological situation to have timely response plans.

Mr. Nguyen Lam (Lac Thien 2 village) said: “We are following the government's instructions to evacuate. Although there are still difficulties, thanks to the timely attention and support, people feel much more secure. People hope that the authorities will soon have a plan to handle the landslide-prone area so that we can return to a stable life.”
Together
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Huu, Secretary of the D'ran Commune Party Committee, in addition to overcoming the consequences, the local government is focusing on receiving and fairly allocating support resources from organizations, unions and individuals to help people stabilize their lives soon. At the same time, many damaged rural traffic routes are also being inspected and plans for repair are being made.

In addition to the damage to 756 houses (of which 15 were completely collapsed), D'ran commune also had more than 1,320 hectares of production land affected, mainly crops and perennial trees. The government is coordinating with relevant agencies to review and compile statistics to propose support for people's re-production.
