Coast Guard Region 2 completes all aspects of work by 2025

In 2025, the Party Committee and Command of Coast Guard Region 2 led and directed the synchronous and drastic implementation, comprehensive completion of all aspects of Coast Guard work; closely coordinated with other forces, regularly exchanged and grasped information and situations in the sea areas, promptly advised, proposed, and handled situations well, especially the task of protecting sovereignty, maintaining security and national interests at sea. Closely combined training tasks with building discipline and discipline management; deployed Party work and political work in a disciplined and effective manner.

In 2025, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 effectively coordinated the implementation of 22 programs "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", 16 mass mobilization activities "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious compatriots" in localities; combined with giving away more than 1,555 gifts, with a total amount of 3.5 billion VND. Well implemented the propaganda work of laws and regulations on prevention and combat of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing to more than 8,150 people and fishermen in the area.

In particular, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of 5 provincial and municipal Party Committees in the Central region to promptly establish working groups to participate in supporting and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, requested the Party Committee and Command of Coast Guard Region 2 and Party committees and commanders at all levels to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement resolutions, directives and orders at all levels on military and defense tasks in 2026; deploy the work in 2026 closely to reality, focusing on overcoming shortcomings and weaknesses in 2025; strictly organize and maintain combat-ready forces and means; coordinate to grasp the situation, proactively advise, propose and promptly handle situations.

Coast Guard Region 2 needs to continue to perform well the search and rescue work, help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods; propagate regulations on IUU prevention and control; effectively implement the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" and the mass mobilization work "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious compatriots".
