According to regulations, as soon as they know their admission scores, successful candidates must confirm their admission on the Ministry of Education and Training 's general admission system before 5:00 p.m. on August 30. However, for many hours, candidates have not been able to do this.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Mai (Cau Giay, Hanoi ) pressed F5 continuously on the Ministry's system, but the system reported an error.
Ms. Mai's daughter was admitted to the National Economics University as her fifth choice. The school's system confirmed that her daughter was admitted. However, because her daughter's admission score was just equal to the admission score, Ms. Mai was worried that something might happen.
Her confusion increased when she could not access the Ministry's system after 20 hours, since knowing the benchmark score.

The general system does not display candidates' admission results after nearly 1 day of announcing the benchmark scores (Screenshot).
“This morning, the parents of my child's class all shared about not being able to access the common system, so I feel temporarily reassured.
By 3pm, schools in the North had their own systems and were able to access them smoothly. But the system reported that my child’s school was not in this group. Up to now, I still don’t know if my child actually passed or not,” said Ms. Mai.
Ms. Pham Thu Huong (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) was luckier when she accessed the Northern lookup system and received her child's admission results at the Banking Academy.
She regretted that her child was not on the admission list of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology even though the family calculated that her child's admission score was satisfactory.
“Honestly, I feel sad, happy and confused at the same time. Sad because my child failed the first choice, happy because he was still accepted into a good university. Also confused because I don’t know why he failed, and what admission method he was accepted through,” Ms. Thu Huong shared.
Ms. Huong added that some of her children's classmates still do not know where they passed the exam because neither parents nor candidates can calculate their children's exact admission scores. Many schools have systems that give different results than parents calculate themselves using the formula that the school announced.
“Never before has a candidate known their benchmark score but not known whether they passed or failed, not known how much their score was calculated, not known which school they were admitted to, and if they passed, not known how they passed,” Ms. Huong was upset.
