Construction started in March 2020 and completed in July 2024, the Agribank Data Center Headquarters (Phase I) project has a floor area of over 16,379m², with 11 floors and 1 basement. This will be the workplace of nearly 400 staff of the Agribank Information Technology Center. In particular, the project is also home to a modern centralized server system, capable of expansion to ensure synchronous operation of the entire Agribank system in the coming years.

Deeply aware of the role and mission of a national key State-owned commercial bank, the Party Committee of Agribank has determined that digital transformation is not only an inevitable trend but also a practical imperative, a mandatory path to better serve customers according to the motto "customer-centric", more modern and effective management and greater contribution to the development of the country. The Agribank Data Center project - a continuation and solid achievement that the entire Agribank system has strived to achieve during the 2020 - 2025 term, is the strongest concretization of that determination.

Speaking at the ceremony to put up the project's plaque, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank To Huy Vu emphasized that the Agribank Data Center is a key and practical project to welcome the 1st Government Party Congress and the 11th Agribank Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. "This is not simply a technical infrastructure project with a total investment of hundreds of billions of VND, but the "digital heart" of the entire system. This is the most important physical foundation, ensuring that the information technology system operates stably, safely, and smoothly 24/7, meeting the capacity to process tens of millions of transactions per day. More importantly, this is the launching pad for Agribank to deploy advanced technologies such as: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cloud Computing, ready for the Open Banking era, creating outstanding products and services, bringing the best experience to customers. tens of millions of customers".

The Agribank Data Center project is a prominent demonstration of Agribank's serious implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. At the same time, this is also the result of thoroughly grasping the Resolutions of the Government Party Committee, the State Bank and especially the thematic Resolution No. 01-NQ/DU of the Agribank Party Committee on "Enhancing science and technology innovation, towards the goal of digital banking".

Attending and speaking at the project plaque-attaching ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee Lai Xuan Lam acknowledged and highly appreciated the comprehensive direction of the Agribank Party Committee, which promoted the role of the political core, led the unit to complete the project on schedule, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency; along with doing well the organization, inspection and supervision work; promoting the pioneering, exemplary spirit and high responsibility of the staff and Party members in each stage of implementation.

The success of the Agribank Data Center project is the result of the attention and close direction of the Government Party Committee, the determination of the Party Committee and Agribank's Board of Directors, along with the efforts, proactive spirit, creativity and high political determination of all Agribank officials, party members and employees in implementing the policies of the Party, Government and Government Party Committee.

The Agribank Data Center Headquarters project not only brings value in terms of modern technical infrastructure, but is also a strategic breakthrough, creating a foundation for synchronous and secure operation and development of digital applications throughout the Agribank system.

With that meaning, the completed project will help synchronize the management of the server system, ensure the safety and security of user data, helping to improve Agribank's competitiveness. Agribank's Party Committee considers this a new driving force, a strategic digital infrastructure to continue to lead in digital transformation of the banking industry and make an important contribution to the national digital transformation.
