According to Notice No. 813/TB-CT, the inspection is carried out based on Official Dispatch No. 2516/BTTTT-CATTT dated June 27, 2024 of the Ministry of Information and Communications (now the Ministry of Science and Technology) on instructions to strengthen the security of information systems. The Tax Department said that the inspection and assessment of the readiness level of the Electronic Tax Service system in the backup environment will take place from October 11 to October 12.
During this time, some Tax applications will be temporarily suspended to serve the system conversion process. Specifically, the Electronic Tax Service system will be temporarily suspended for 8 hours, the first time from 18:00 on October 11 (Saturday) to 02:00 on October 12 (Sunday) and the second time from 11:00 to 19:00 on October 12 (Sunday). The administrative procedure settlement information system will be temporarily suspended for 1 hour and 30 minutes, the first time from 21:00 to 22:30 on October 11 (Saturday) and the second time from 15:00 to 16:30 on October 12 (Sunday).
The Tax Department said that the scope of impact during the suspension period includes taxpayers temporarily being unable to use applications and services such as: Electronic Tax Service for businesses (eTax); Electronic Tax Service for individuals (iCanhan); Electronic Tax Service on mobile devices (eTax Mobile); E-commerce Information Portal; Information portal for households and individuals doing business to declare and pay taxes from e-commerce and digital platforms (Canhan TMĐT); Information portal for foreign suppliers; Electronic Tax Service on the National Public Service Portal and the Ministry of Finance's Public Service Portal; Information system for handling administrative procedures of the tax sector.
In Notice No. 812/TB-CT, to ensure effective implementation, limit impacts on taxpayers and professional activities at tax agencies at all levels, the Tax Department requires the Departments and units under the Tax Department and Tax Departments of provinces and cities to seriously implement the following contents: notify the inspection plan, assess the readiness level of the system to all cadres, civil servants and employees to proactively arrange work; promptly inform taxpayers through the channels of local tax agencies so that they can grasp and be proactive in transactions.
