(Chinhphu.vn) - The Agribank Data Center project has just been given a welcome sign for the 1st Government Party Congress. This is a key project, demonstrating Agribank's determination to modernize its technology infrastructure, aiming for safe, smooth operations and better customer service.

Data center – a typical project to welcome the Government Party Congress

On October 10, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam ( Agribank ) held a ceremony to put up a plaque for the Agribank Data Center Headquarters. This is a project recognized by the Government Party Committee as a project to welcome the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Implementing the guidance of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee, the Agribank Party Committee has registered this project as a typical project. The project started in March 2020 and will be completed in July 2024, with a floor area of ​​over 16,379 m², including 11 floors and 1 basement, which is the workplace of nearly 400 staff of the Agribank Information Technology Center. In particular, this place also houses a modern centralized server system, capable of expansion to operate the entire banking system synchronously in the coming years.

In the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and digital transformation taking place strongly around the world, the Political Report at the 13th National Party Congress clearly identified: "Promoting national digital transformation, developing the digital economy on the basis of science, technology, and innovation" is a key task.

Deeply aware of the role of a key state-owned commercial bank, the Party Committee of Agribank considers digital transformation not only an inevitable trend but also a practical imperative, aiming to better serve customers according to the motto "customer-centric", effective management and positive contribution to the country's development.

"Digital heart" operates the entire Agribank system

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade To Huy Vu, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank, affirmed: "Agribank Data Center is a key and practical project to welcome the 1st Government Party Congress and the 11th Agribank Party Congress, term 2025-2030."

Comrade To Huy Vu emphasized that this is not simply a technical infrastructure project with a total investment of hundreds of billions of VND, but the 'digital heart' of the entire Agribank system - the most important physical foundation to ensure the information technology system operates stably, safely, and smoothly 24/7, meeting the capacity to process tens of millions of transactions per day.

More importantly, this is a launching pad for Agribank to deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cloud Computing and be ready for the Open Banking era, creating outstanding products and services, bringing the best experience to tens of millions of customers.

The project is also a testament to Agribank's serious implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. This is the result of the process of thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the Government Party Committee, the State Bank and especially Resolution 01-NQ/DU of the Agribank Party Committee on "Enhancing scientific and technological innovation, towards the goal of digital banking".
