On October 11, Long An General Hospital (Tay Ninh province) was looking for relatives for a newborn boy being treated at the hospital's pediatric department. Because the child was left behind, the hospital had to arrange staff to take care of him every day and buy milk for him at a cost of about 120,000 VND.
According to information from the hospital, at around 1:00 p.m. on October 3, the unit received a pregnant woman named Tong Thi Det (38 years old, from An Giang ) who came to the hospital to give birth. This person did not have any identification documents, so personal information was only recorded based on her statement to serve the purpose of managing the records.

The next day, the mother gave birth to a baby boy weighing 2.2 kg. Due to premature birth (31 weeks of pregnancy), the baby was transferred to the Pediatrics Department for monitoring and treatment.
At around 8:30 p.m. on October 4, the hospital discovered that the pregnant woman had left the hospital without completing discharge procedures. The local authorities where the pregnant woman made the declaration have not yet verified the information.
The baby boy is currently being cared for and treated at the Pediatrics Department - Long An General Hospital, with a diagnosis of respiratory failure and neonatal infection.
Long An General Hospital announces that anyone who is a relative or knows information about pregnant woman Tong Thi Det, please contact phone number 02723826330 or 02723581113 (Social Work Department - Long An General Hospital).
