According to the report, on the same morning, the Ben Cat Ward Cultural Office borrowed the premises of Le Quy Don Secondary School to organize training on data entry for universal education and illiteracy eradication for officials and teachers in charge of schools in the area.
Some people came to Le Quy Don Secondary School to attend a training session and drove their cars into the school yard. At noon, the training session ended and these people left at the same time as the students left school. Because they did not understand the rules, the group drove their cars out the gate while the students were walking in the school yard.
“These cars do not belong to the teachers in the school. This is the school's negligence. Because the security guard did not instruct them, they did not know. The ward has given suggestions for the school to learn from experience and instruct them to park properly when organizing programs,” informed the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ben Cat ward.
As Dan Tri reported, at noon on October 10, a video clip was circulated on social media showing a number of cars moving through the school yard while there were many students walking around. The person filming the video expressed anger and concern when the students had to "squeeze" with the cars.
At this time, a person wearing security uniform appeared and said this was the education department's car.
Upon verification, the incident occurred at Le Quy Don Secondary School, Ben Cat Ward. The footage was filmed at 11:30 a.m. the same day, when students were leaving school.
As soon as they received the information, Ben Cat ward leaders asked Mr. Pham Van Sang, Principal of Le Quy Don Secondary School, to make a report and draw lessons.
