Testing drones for rescue and delivery is the content of the report of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 71 of the Government, related to the field of breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
In particular, low-level economic development in Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2025 - 2030, with a vision to 2045, is one of the contents the city is interested in implementing in the coming time.
According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City will establish a free space for controlled testing of technological solutions and management systems for unmanned aerial vehicles.
Specifically, a controlled testing area for unmanned aerial vehicles will be established on the basis of simplifying flight management and flight licensing procedures.
The city also promotes research and development (R&D), design and production of unmanned aerial vehicles to master basic and core technologies (hardware, software, facilities and management infrastructure).
In particular, the city will test application services and exploit unmanned aerial vehicles. Mainly applied in areas such as smart agriculture; monitoring of urban security and order; transportation and delivery; relief, rescue; passenger transport by flying cars and flying motorcycles...
Ho Chi Minh City proposed that the Government soon issue a Low-level Economic Development Project to create conditions for the city government to implement a low-level economic development model.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City also recommended that the Government Office soon upgrade the National Online Payment Portal; add more non-cash payment methods and ways (via QR code) in handling administrative procedures and online public services to create convenience for people and organizations.
