On May 22nd, in Ha Giang 2 ward, Tuyen Quang province, a STEM product exhibition competition for the 2025-2026 school year was held, with the participation of hundreds of students and teachers from the highland districts.
The competition brought together 27 outstanding schools from the Yen Minh, Meo Vac, Hoang Su Phi, and Xin Man areas; including 21 schools benefiting from Plan's projects. The competing teams presented many innovative products, demonstrating their ability to apply knowledge of science , technology, engineering, and mathematics to real-life situations.

Many models made a strong impression on the judging panel, such as: a disaster warning system, a smart trash can, a hydraulic press, an automatic irrigation system, or a solution for preserving historical relics using smart monitoring technology. Many products were designed from simple, readily available materials but had high applicability and were suitable for the conditions of mountainous regions.
Notably, this year's STEM ideas not only aim to solve problems in learning and daily life in the boarding school environment but also connect with environmental protection and the preservation of local ethnic cultural identity. Some models have combined technology with the preservation of traditional culture, demonstrating the creative thinking and practical perspective of the students.
According to the Organizing Committee, the competition is an opportunity for students in mountainous areas to experience, interact, and develop their scientific research and teamwork skills. At the same time, it motivates teachers to innovate teaching methods towards competency development and enhance STEM education in schools.
Through this platform, many students have confidently expressed their ideas, honed their problem-solving skills, and improved their ability to apply knowledge to real-life situations.
This is also one of the activities that contributes to promoting educational transformation in mountainous areas, helping students get closer to modern science and technology.
