15th Conference of the Provincial Party Committee, 17th Term

This morning, December 30th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee convened the 15th meeting of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee, 17th term, 2020-2025, to evaluate and rank the Provincial Party Committee for 2023 and conduct a vote of confidence for the following comrades: Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Quang Tung; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung presided over the meeting. Representatives from Department I of the Central Party Office and local departments in Da Nang attended the meeting.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung emphasized that 2023 marks the halfway point in the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress. This is in the context of complex developments in the world , the region, and domestically, which have affected investment, production, business, and export activities nationwide and within the province.

Under those circumstances, the Provincial Party Committee and Party committees at all levels, with high political determination, great efforts, and decisive actions, have contributed to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security, and building a clean and strong Party and political system.

In 2023, the province's economy continued to recover and grow, with 7 out of 9 targets met or exceeded, and 2 targets close to the plan. The annual GRDP growth rate reached 6.68%, and GRDP per capita reached 71 million VND/person.

Agricultural growth reached 5.41%, with grain production exceeding 300,000 tons, surpassing the plan by 15.38%. Industrial growth reached 7.95%; trade and services gradually recovered, growing at 6.41%.

Total budget revenue reached over 3,800 billion VND, achieving 93.8% of the planned target, and total social investment reached 24,220 billion VND. The province's general planning for the period 2021-2030, with orientation to 2050, has been approved by the Prime Minister.

Significant progress was made in the cultural and social sectors; the multidimensional poverty rate decreased by 1.2%; and major commemorative events were successfully organized and highly appreciated.

External relations activities were carried out synchronously and effectively, building trust with foreign partners. National defense and security were consolidated and strengthened, and the preparation and successful organization of provincial-level defense and civil defense exercises, as well as district-level defense exercises involving four localities, were assessed by Military Region 4 as having been completed excellently in all aspects...

Based on Article 12 of the Politburo's Regulation 124-QĐ/TW on ranking criteria, the Provincial Party Standing Committee anticipates that the Provincial Party Committee will be ranked as having excellently completed its tasks in 2023.

Through the voting process, the conference unanimously agreed to classify the Provincial Party Committee as having excellently fulfilled its nhiệm vụ (tasks/duties) in 2023.

The conference also held a vote of confidence for the following comrades: Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
