Currently, Long An province has over 6,950 plows and cultivators of various types, 98 rice transplanters, 23,600 seed planters, 826 self-propelled sprayers, 500 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 43,000 3-in-1 sprayers, 350 electric pumping stations, over 45,000 water pumps, 1,600 combine harvesters, 1,192 straw balers, and 450 drying ovens. These machines are contributing to a steadily increasing rate of agricultural mechanization.

Over the years, the province has implemented numerous solutions to promote mechanization in agricultural production and achieved significant results, such as reducing post-harvest losses and significantly improving people's awareness of mechanization in agriculture. People have invested hundreds of billions of dong in purchasing machinery and equipment for production. Many cooperatives, associations, and mechanization service facilities have been established.

The workshop heard a presentation by Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, M.Sc. (Tien Giang University) on the topic: “Applying synchronized mechanization in rice cultivation to reduce production costs and emissions”; a presentation by a representative from the Long An Provincial Department of Rural Development and Irrigation on the topic: “Current status of mechanization application in rice production, orientation of policies and guidelines of Long An province in the coming time”; and presentations by representatives from Saigon Kim Hong Trading and Service Co., Ltd. and Yanmar Vietnam Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. on the results of some mechanization application models in the Mekong Delta provinces and introduction of the company's products and policies.
Delegates visited a demonstration model showcasing various types of machinery used in rice cultivation.
The delegates also had the opportunity to observe demonstration models of various rice cultivation machines; and engaged in lively discussions, raising many questions, suggestions, and proposals to contribute to the development of agriculture and rural areas in the province.
