This year marks the first time iPhones went on sale at midnight. Previously, the iPhone 13, 14, and 15 all went on sale from 6 AM. On September 27th alone, 37,000 genuine iPhone 16 units were sold in Vietnam, mostly the Pro models, helping to generate revenue exceeding one trillion VND.

FPT Shop delivered 10,000 devices on its first day, achieving revenue of 300 billion VND. The target for September is to deliver 20,000 devices.
Mobile World is considered the best-selling retailer in the market, activating 3,000 units on the opening night and expecting to deliver 30,000 units in September. It is estimated that on September 27th alone, the system sold over 10,000 units.
In addition, several other retailers such as CellphoneS, Viettel Store, ShopDunk, and Hoang Ha Mobile also confirmed sales figures ranging from 2,000 to 7,000 units on the first day of sales.
According to a distributor, the initial shipment of iPhone 16 units to the Vietnamese market is estimated at around 55,000-60,000. Of these, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max account for the largest proportion of pre-orders, especially the Desert Gold version. Currently, users may have to pay an additional 3-4 million VND to own the Desert Gold version, while other options are still available.
In Vietnam, the four iPhone 16 models are sold at the following prices:
- iPhone 16: 128GB storage is 22,999,000 VND; 256GB storage is 25,999,000 VND; 512GB storage is 31,999,000 VND.
- iPhone 16 Plus: 128 GB capacity is 25,999,000 VND; 256 GB capacity is 28,999,000 VND; 512 GB capacity is 34,999,000 VND.
- iPhone 16 Pro: 128 GB is 28,999,000 VND; 256 GB is 31,999,000 VND; 512 GB is 37,999,000 VND; 1 TB is 43,999,000 VND.
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 256GB is 34,999,000 VND; 512GB is 40,999,000 VND; 1TB is 46,999,000 VND.
