On the evening of August 27th, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the statistics on the first round of university admissions in 2024, along with the number of candidates who confirmed their enrollment.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the number of candidates admitted to universities in the first round of 2024 through the system is 673,586, an increase of 58,116 candidates compared to 2023.
However, the number of candidates who confirmed their enrollment was 551,479, accounting for 81.87% of the total number of candidates admitted in the first round.
Thus, 122,107 candidates refused to enroll in university despite being accepted, accounting for 18.13%.
According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, August 27th is the last day for candidates officially admitted to universities and colleges in the early childhood education field in the first round to confirm their enrollment online.
This enrollment confirmation is done through the Ministry of Education and Training's admissions system using each candidate's individual account. Only after online confirmation can candidates proceed with the in-person enrollment procedures at the training institutions.
If a candidate does not confirm their enrollment on the system by 5 PM on August 27th, they will be considered to have declined admission.
Dozens of schools have announced supplementary admissions with thousands of vacancies, including some top universities.
The School of Management and Business, Vietnam National University , Hanoi, is recruiting an additional 70 students, including 60 in the Management and Security major and 10 in the Business Administration and Technology major.
Applicants wishing to be admitted to the school must pass the preliminary selection round, which includes evaluation of application documents and essays; and assessment of emotional intelligence (EQ). The school considers the results of the high school graduation exam for candidates with a score of 22 or higher in the A01, D01, D07, D08 subject combinations, with English achieving a score of 6 or higher, or an IELTS score of 4.5 or equivalent or higher.
