More than 197,000 trees were planted on the occasion of Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho in the spring of At Ty.

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Tri, implementing the Tet tree planting movement to forever remember Uncle Ho Xuan At Ty - 2025, up to now, the whole province has planted 197,052 trees of all kinds. Of which, 26,552 are shade trees, 170,500 are scattered trees of all kinds.

Specifically, at the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho held in Hai Lang district, delegates planted 50 shade trees in the green planning area of ​​the Hai Lang District Administrative Center.

Also on this occasion, in Hai Lang district, agencies, units and people planted 440 shade trees and 86,000 scattered trees of various kinds. Some localities also have a large number of trees planted, such as Vinh Linh district: 1,200 shade trees and 22,000 scattered trees; Trieu Phong district: 800 shade trees and 30,000 scattered trees; Gio Linh district: 640 shade trees and 26,500 scattered trees.

On the part of units in the province, especially the Department of Education and Training, the whole sector has responded and organized the implementation of the Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho on the occasion of the traditional national New Year and implemented the Program to plant 1 billion new trees in the period of 2021 - 2025 of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

At the same time, promote propaganda and education on the meaning and effects of the Tree Planting Festival initiated by Uncle Ho; raise awareness among cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and students to see the great role and effects of forest protection and annual tree planting, which contributes significantly and practically to the cause of building and developing the country sustainably.

As a result of the Tet tree planting campaign, the entire education and training sector has planted 16,500 new trees of all kinds at headquarters, schools, and locations under the sector in localities across the province.

In addition, in the period before, during and after the Lunar New Year of At Ty, taking advantage of favorable weather, units and individuals in the province have planted production forests of more than 646 hectares, equivalent to about 1.3 million forestry seedlings of all kinds. At the same time, they have organized care, replanting and protection of newly planted trees and young forests in the past to ensure good growth of the plants.
