In 2024, Vietnamese football will have 22 professional and non-professional tournaments with nearly 1.800 matches. According to statistics, about 2/3 of the matches that take place each year in Vietnamese football belong to non-professional tournaments - equivalent to nearly 1.200 matches.
The VFF Standing Committee pays special attention to training in supervision and refereeing of non-professional tournaments. The training course before the 2024 Vietnamese professional football season takes place from January 2 to January 1, 5.
Immediately after the training, the referees, referee supervisors, and match supervisors immediately participated in the 2024 Vietnamese Student Youth Football Tournament and the qualifying round of the 19 National U2024 Tournament.
Representative of the organizing committee, lecturer and referee Nguyen Trung Kien reported the results of the 4 days of training, from January 2 to January 1. Accordingly, the training class had the participation of 5 supervisors and 1 referees. In the physical fitness test, 17/91 referees participated, of which 90/91 referees completed it (41%), 43/94 assistant referees had passing results. With the law test, 47% of students completed it successfully.
The organizing committee assessed that the trainees were well prepared for the training class, showed the will to progress, and made efforts to fulfill the requirements during the training class.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary General Duong Nghiep Khoi thanked the referees and training class instructors for their efforts in conveying knowledge to the students. At the same time, he also congratulated the referee supervisors and referees who completed the training class. Secretary General Duong Nghiep Khoi hopes that the apprentices will continue to hone their skills, maintain the spirit of learning, and improve their qualifications to complete their jobs well in the coming time.
