Regarding the flooding and road closures, at underpass 25 on National Highway 9B (Le Thuy), the water level rose by about 1 meter, making it impassable for people and vehicles; the water level at Ca Roong 2 underpass, Thuong Trach commune (Bo Trach), also rose by about 1 meter, causing traffic disruption; the underpasses leading to Ploang and Rin Rin villages, Truong Son commune ( Quang Ninh ) have also risen, making it impassable for people and vehicles.
At Km36 on provincial road 562 (Road 20 Quyet Thang), the route from Phong Nha town to Thuong Trach commune, there is a landslide. Throughout the province, more than 7,400 hectares of rice and over 67 hectares of other crops were flooded due to heavy rain.
Reportedly, two fishing vessels from Quang Binh province sank in the waters off Quang Ngai province while seeking shelter from a storm. At the time of the accident, there were eight crew members on board, all of whom were safely rescued by other fishing vessels from Quang Binh.
