According to the PCI results report in 2022 published by the Vietnam Confederation of Trade and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Cao Bang ranks 63rd in the ranking of the following countries. provinces and cities nationwide with 59,58 points, up 3,29 points. Among the 10 PCI component indexes, the province has 7/10 indexes that have increased points compared to 2021, including: Market entry costs increased by 0,1 points; access to land increased by 0,27 points; time cost increased 0,39 points; unofficial expenses increased by 1,25 points; dynamics increased 0,34 points; labor training increased 0,14 points; legal institutions and security and order increased by 0,65 points.
Because the increase in points is not much, there are only 5 indexes that increase their rankings compared to 2021: Access to land increases by 2 places; unofficial expenses increased by 5 steps; dynamism increased by 20 steps; labor training increased by 13 ranks; legal institutions and security and order increased by 4 places. 4 index of ranking reduction: The cost of entering the market decreased by 7 places; transparency decreased by 26 places; time cost reduced by 1 step; fair competition decreased by 5 places. There is one indicator that keeps the hierarchy intact, which is the business support policy.
The reason is that the solutions and supporting policies of the Central Government are not enough to meet the expectations and needs of businesses; businesses in the province are mainly small and micro businesses, so it is difficult to access public services and interest rate support packages of the Government; Enterprises have to face great cost pressure when the prices of goods and services and credit interest rates tend to increase, difficulties in accessing credit, finding customers, finding business partners. business, affecting the business results of businesses that have faced many difficulties in more than 2 years of suffering due to the Covid-19 pandemic; In the province, there is no fully invested industrial park or industrial cluster to serve as a basis for attracting investment; Organizations, individuals and businesses still do not have the habit or actively submit their documents online, so the rate of administrative procedures online or through the public postal service in the province is still low...
Tpeak strive to increase the provincial competitiveness index score in 2023 and increase the ranking compared to 2022; continue to maintain and improve the component indexes of the good ranking group, focus on improving the component indexes of the middle ranking group, the component indexes with low scores and rankings such as: land, transparency, time costs, informal costs, fair competition, business support policies...
