The Hue Imperial City Relics Conservation Center has issued a notice to tourists advising them to proactively protect their health when visiting historical sites in the city during the peak summer season.

According to the Hue City Meteorological and Hydrological Station, widespread heatwaves have occurred in the area in recent days, with some places experiencing intense to exceptionally intense heat. Maximum temperatures commonly ranged from 35-39 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 39 degrees Celsius. The forecast indicates that from June 28th, temperatures will gradually decrease, but localized heatwaves will persist, with maximum temperatures commonly ranging from 36-38 degrees Celsius.

Amidst the peak summer season and crowds, the Hue Imperial City Relics Conservation Center offers some tips to make exploring heritage sites more comfortable and safer.

• Drink plenty of water and replenish fluids frequently throughout the tour.
• It's best to visit in the early morning or late afternoon to minimize the impact of hot weather.
• Choose breathable clothing and use hats, caps, and sunglasses to protect your health when moving outdoors.
• Bring an umbrella, a handheld fan, wet wipes, and other necessary personal items.
