Ronaldo may no longer be entering the World Cup as Brazil 's lethal striker, but his voice still carries significant weight. In an interview with L'Équipe , "The Phenomenon" spoke about the Selecao, Neymar, Mbappe , and even the possibility of Zinedine Zidane leading the French national team in the future.
Ronaldo has given clear support to Carlo Ancelotti, who is under immense pressure as Brazil's coach. According to the former striker, born in 1976, the Italian coach has enough experience, composure, and dressing room management skills to help the Seleção go far in the 2026 World Cup.
“I have great faith in Ancelotti’s work. He understands football like very few people do and knows how to handle pressure. Right now, I wouldn’t choose any other coach for the Selecao,” Ronaldo said.
