According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, this revolutionary base bears the profound imprint of the period of activity of intellectuals, merchants, and revolutionary activists throughout the cities of Southern Vietnam; they were ready to accept hardships and wholeheartedly followed the Party. They upheld the spirit of patriotism and fought for independence, freedom, and national reunification.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nang, former Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, shared that this trip was very meaningful, an opportunity for everyone to recall the traditions of the Vietnam National United Front - the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Front has a long history of striving, gathering forces, and contributing to achieving independence and freedom for us today.

“Today, the organizing committee has brought together people from all walks of life here, contributing to kindling the revolutionary flame and instilling greater willpower in future generations. With that tradition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has mobilized people from all walks of life to participate in emulation movements and build a developed country,” Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nang emphasized.

Along with the whole country and the city's political system over the nearly 40 years of reform, the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city in the political system in particular and society in general have been increasingly enhanced through proactively initiating and developing concrete action programs that effectively and practically implement the policies of the City Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, closely adhering to the city's practical situation.

The campaigns and emulation movements launched and implemented by the City Front are focused, creating consensus, promoting the role of member organizations, encouraging creative labor competition among the people, and mobilizing the entire community to participate in economic development, solving social problems, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, and achieving sustainable poverty reduction.
