Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of central ministries and agencies, the Vietnam Tourism Association, diplomatic agencies, along with a large number of delegates, tourism businesses, travel agencies, airlines, artists, photographers and press agencies from across the country.

The highlight of the program is the grand artistic display "A Thousand Years of Painting," which recreates the history, culture, nature, and life of the people of Ninh Binh through various periods, showcasing the interplay between tradition and modernity.
In his opening remarks at the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that Ninh Binh has long been known as a land of outstanding people and rich cultural heritage, a place where the essence of Vietnamese culture, history, and unique nature converge, with a rich system of heritage sites, from traces of prehistoric people, historical and cultural relics from various dynasties, to a treasure trove of distinctive intangible cultural heritage.
The leaders of Ninh Binh province affirmed that the locality possesses a rich heritage system with more than 5,000 historical and cultural relics, notably the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Cuc Phuong National Park, Tam Chuc, Van Long… This is the foundation for Ninh Binh to develop sustainable tourism and build a brand as an international heritage destination.
Over the years, Ninh Binh's tourism industry has experienced strong growth with many distinctive tourism types such as heritage, ecotourism, resort tourism, cultural tourism, and spiritual tourism. Many of the province's scenic spots have been continuously recognized by international tourism organizations and platforms.

The Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026 also contributes to realizing the province's strategy for developing the cultural and tourism industry until 2030, with a vision to 2045, aiming to build Ninh Binh into a center for heritage, ecological, cultural, and spiritual tourism in Vietnam, while striving to become a centrally-governed city with the characteristic of a "millennium heritage city".
The event will feature many unique cultural, artistic, and tourism activities such as the Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Festival, the Trang An Creative Music Festival, the Vietnam Yosakoi Festival 2026… offering visitors a colorful experience that connects heritage, culture, and modern creativity.
