With the adaptability, proactiveness, and flexibility in leadership, direction, and administration of the Standing Committee, the Party Executive Committee, and the efforts of the entire political system and the entire population, the targets in 2023 in Can Loc basically achieved and exceeded the set plan. Political security and social order and safety were ensured; Party building and organizations in the political system were strengthened.

In the economic field, agricultural production achieved good results, food output reached 106,311 tons, reaching 103.4% of the plan; the average rice yield of the whole district reached 57.88 quintals/ha. The epidemic situation of livestock and poultry was controlled, contributing to promoting people to develop livestock farming. Can Loc is also the leading district of the province in land conversion and concentration. Concentrated rice production models continue to produce high and outstanding yields, affirming high efficiency in land conversion, reducing production costs, and being supported by the people.
The total value of basic construction investment in the district is estimated at 2,965.4 billion VND; many works and projects in the area have been completed and put into use. Budget revenue in the area in 2023 is estimated at 240 billion VND, reaching 175.18% of the plan assigned by the province and equal to 160.0% of the plan assigned by the District People's Council.
The work of site clearance for the North-South Expressway has been focused and directed resolutely. Up to now, the site clearance has been basically completed and handed over to the investor for implementation; it is one of the localities in the province that handed over the site the earliest, achieving the set plan. Infrastructure of resettlement areas in the communes of Quang Loc, Son Loc, Kim Song Truong, Trung Loc and relocation of pumping stations and power lines have been completed, reaching 100% of the plan.
The new rural development program continues to be focused on, and Vuong Loc commune has been recognized as a commune that meets advanced new rural standards. Through review, the entire district has 21/38 sub-criteria that meet the criteria of an advanced new rural district, reaching 55%.
Culture and education have many outstanding results; social security and job creation have many improvements; National defense and security are ensured.
There have been many innovations in the work of building the Party and the political system. The work of inspection, supervision, enforcement of Party discipline, internal affairs, and prevention of corruption and waste have been tightened; mass mobilization work; activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have been strengthened.
In 2024, Can Loc district sets the following goals: total cultivated area of 20,732 hectares, total grain output of over 102,779 tons; striving to have 2 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards, 1 commune meeting model new rural standards; budget revenue of over 179 billion VND; total value of products of trade and service sector of over 1,000 billion VND; reducing multidimensional poverty rate according to new criteria by at least 0.5%.
The district also strives for 100% of grassroots party organizations to be classified as “fulfilling their tasks”, of which 70% will be classified as “fulfilling their tasks well”. The district party committee will be classified as “fulfilling their tasks well” or higher.

The Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission noted that in the coming time, the district needs to continue to comprehensively evaluate the achieved results, clearly analyze the causes and limitations to find effective solutions. Focus on reviewing and carefully evaluating the work of rotating cadres, thereby having appropriate selection and arrangement to promote the capacity and strengths of cadres; motivate and encourage cadres to continuously study to improve their capacity and political qualities; strengthen inspection and supervision work, focus on outstanding issues to completely resolve difficult and stuck cases at the grassroots level.
