This issue has been reported on the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air.

Many users have experienced WiFi connection issues on Apple's new product line (Image: Tom's Guide).
Specifically, those affected reported that their WiFi connection was frequently interrupted. WiFi only resumed after the user unlocked their iPhone. The CarPlay system also relies on WiFi connectivity, so this issue caused many CarPlay users to be disconnected.
All four new iPhone models are equipped with Apple's own N1 chip, supporting WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity. In contrast, previous iPhone models relied on Broadcom chips for wireless connectivity.
It's still unclear whether this is a hardware or software issue. Previously, many users of older iPhones also experienced similar problems after updating to iOS 26. Apple is expected to release iOS 26.0.1 soon to fix the issues in the current software version.
To date, Apple has not commented on the matter.
Previously, Apple's new iPhone models had also received many negative reviews from users regarding their susceptibility to scratches, camera malfunctions when taking photos with LED flash, and rapid battery drain.
