iPhone 6 Plus officially 'obsolete', iPad mini 4 'classic'.

According to MacRumors , Apple's policy states that a product is considered obsolete when seven years have passed since the last shipment of that device. The company released the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in September 2014, with the main advantages being a larger screen size compared to its predecessor and support for Apple Pay.

The screen size upgrade contributed significantly to the strong sales growth of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

The company officially stopped selling the iPhone 6 Plus entirely in September 2016; however, the iPhone 6 was still sold at retailers in some countries for several years. When iOS 13 was released in 2019, operating system update support for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus was completely discontinued.

Meanwhile, the 4th-generation iPad mini has also just been added to Apple's "vintage" list. This means the product has been sold for more than 5 years since its last shipment. Apple Stores and authorized Apple service providers will continue to service vintage products for another two years, subject to the availability of replacement parts.

In addition, the list of classic products also includes the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, launched in September 2017; however, this only applies to the red variant. Other color variants have been on the shelves longer and are therefore not included in the classic category.
