TPBank introduces Apple Pay to its customers.

TPBank (Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank) has partnered with Apple Pay, allowing Visa cardholders to use their iPhones, Apple Watches, and Macs to make direct payments when shopping or using services, instead of their physical bank cards. This is a safer, more secure, and more private payment method that helps customers avoid handing over their payment cards to others, touching physical payment buttons, or exchanging cash – and using an iPhone helps protect all transactions.

To use it, customers simply double-tap and hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near the payment gateway to make a contactless payment. Every Apple Pay transaction is secure as it's authenticated using Face ID, Touch ID, or the device's passcode, along with a one-time dynamic security code. Apple Pay is accepted at convenience stores, pharmacies, taxi companies, restaurants, cafes, retail stores, and many other places.

With over 10 million customers and approximately 60% of TPBank app users on the iOS platform, the Apple Pay payment feature has garnered significant attention from TPBank's customers. The launch of Apple Pay perfectly meets the needs of young, tech-savvy customers who value convenience.

Furthermore, the unique Apple Pay experience with TPBank is most evident in the convenient online card application process. With TPBank's pre-approval system for 100% online card applications via the app, website, and at 500 24/7 LiveBank locations across Vietnam, customers don't need to wait to receive a physical card; they can immediately own a virtual (debit) card and add it to Apple Pay directly through the TPBank app or Apple Wallet.

For customers who already have an account at TPBank, the time to open a credit card will be even shorter. Based on the customer's creditworthiness, TPBank will automatically grant a credit limit; TPBank customers only need to press the button to open the card, and the limit will be activated immediately for them to use. After adding the card, customers can transact and enjoy cashback offers on their first payment with Apple Pay.

Customers can also use Apple Pay on iPhone, iPad, and Mac to make in-app purchases more quickly and conveniently, or transact on the web via Safari without having to create an account or repeatedly enter shipping and payment information. Apple Pay makes paying for food delivery and groceries, online shopping, shipping, travel , and many other services easier. Apple Pay can also be used to make payments within apps on the Apple Watch.

Security and privacy are top priorities for Apple Pay. When customers use a credit or debit card on Apple Pay, the actual card number is not stored on the device or on Apple's servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted, and securely stored in a Secure Element, a standard chip designed to securely store payment information on electronic devices.

Setting up Apple Pay is very simple. On iPhone, just open the Wallet app, tap the plus sign (+), and follow the instructions to add your TPBank credit or debit card. Customers can also add their TPBank credit or debit card to Apple Pay from the TPBank Mobile app by selecting one of the available cards, tapping the add card to Apple Wallet button, and completing the process directly on the TPBank app.

After adding the card to their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac, customers can start using Apple Pay on those devices immediately. Customers will continue to receive all the reward points/accumulations and benefits offered by their TPBank card.
