Iran releases video of attack on 5th Fleet headquarters; US responds.

TPO - Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it carried out attacks on a ship near the Strait of Hormuz, the headquarters of the 5th Fleet in Bahrain, and a US air base in the region in retaliation for military actions that Tehran accuses Washington of carrying out.

In a statement issued on June 3, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the events began late at night when an Iranian oil tanker was attacked near the Strait of Hormuz.

"Last night, the US military attacked an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, damaging the ship's engine room," the IRGC announced.

"In response to the aggression and violation of the rules governing the Strait of Hormuz, a ship named Panaya was targeted by the IRGC Navy with missiles," the force stated.

Additionally, in a recent military operation, the U.S. targeted a communications tower belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the south of Qeshm Island.

"In response to this act of aggression, US air and helicopter bases located in one of the countries in the region, as well as the headquarters of the 5th Fleet in Bahrain, were attacked by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force with missiles and drones (UAVs)," the IRGC emphasized.

However, the U.S. military has rejected these claims, asserting that "all Iranian attacks on U.S. forces have failed."

Earlier, the US Central Command said that US and Bahraini air defense systems had intercepted three missiles fired at Bahrain, adding that the missiles fired at Kuwait had fallen or broken apart in flight.
