Arsenal visited Nottingham Forest for their 22nd Premier League match. Mikel Arteta's men secured a hard-fought victory thanks to a brilliant performance from Gabriel Jesus.

Being the underdog, the home team proactively chose a defensive counter-attacking style of play. Coach Nuno Santo concentrated a large number of players in front of and within the penalty area, creating multiple layers of defense. As a result, Arsenal's central attacking plays were ineffective.

The most dangerous chance in the first half belonged to Bukayo Saka. In the 43rd minute, Arsenal players combined quickly on the left wing, and the ball reached Saka. The English player took a shot with his weaker foot, but a Nottingham defender managed to block it.

In the second half, the game didn't change much. Arsenal continued to press, but unlike the first half, there were more opportunities. In the 53rd minute, Bukayo Saka fired a diagonal shot but couldn't beat goalkeeper Matt Turner.

Four minutes later, Saka had the ball again. He combined with Martin Odegaard before passing the ball to Gabriel Magalhaes. The number 6 player faced the Nottingham goal but his shot hit the post and went wide.

However, Arsenal fans' wait was rewarded in the 65th minute. Gabriel Jesus received the ball from Oleksandr Zinchenko's throw-in. The striker dribbled the ball before finishing with a shot into the near corner to open the scoring.

In the 72nd minute, Gabriel Jesus initiated another quick counter-attack. The Brazilian player provided a perfect pass for Bukayo Saka to finish with a diagonal shot, doubling Arsenal's lead.

Before the final whistle, the home team only managed to score one goal through Taiwo Awoniyi. Arsenal won 2-1, temporarily moving up to second place in the standings with 46 points. They have played one more game than league leaders Liverpool (48 points), and two more games than second-placed Man City (43 points).
