Kasim Hoang Vu passed away in the United States.

On March 5th, artists and fans shared the news of singer Kasim Hoang Vu's passing, expressing their condolences.

On the morning of March 5th, several Vietnamese artists in the US, including singer Duy Truong, impresario Qui Ngoc, and impresario Dung Taylor, simultaneously posted information on their social media accounts stating that singer Kasim Hoang Vu had passed away a few days earlier. Tuoi Tre Online is currently contacting several sources to verify this information.

Singer Duy Truong wrote: "Kasim passed away last Sunday. Currently, a younger sibling is helping his mother with the funeral arrangements. An obituary will be announced soon. Rest in peace, goodbye Kasim Hoang Vu."

Kasim Hoang Vu became widely known to the audience after winning the Sao Mai Rendezvous 2005 competition (along with Tung Duong).

In less than three years, starting from nothing as a recent graduate, he used his singing talent to buy a house, a car, and create his own recording studio in what was then Ho Chi Minh City.

Kasim Hoang Vu studied at the Military Academy of Arts. The relatively comprehensive training methods there shaped him into not only a singer well-equipped with fundamental professional skills, but also a young artist with strong character and integrity.

He enjoys rock music, which was his mother's forte in the past, and has released rock and rock & roll CDs like " The Sun on the Other Side" with sales of no less than 10,000 copies. However, he persistently pursues many other genres such as ballads, R&B, and pop.

Kasim Hoang Vu was well-received by listeners when he released albums with short, concise "Because" titles such as "Because of Love," "Because of Why," "Because of What," etc. In March 2008, his fourth CD in the "Because" quartet was widely released under the title " Because of You ."

Kasim later moved to the United States. In 2023, he underwent surgery on his jaw and neck, which resulted in facial asymmetry and partial chin deformation. Due to his poor health, the singer has only been involved in the restaurant business and has not been active in the arts for several years.

In 2024, rumors circulated online that Kasim Hoang Vu had passed away. However, at that time, Kasim Hoang Vu posted an update about his current health condition, stating that he was being treated for a relapse of osteomyelitis of the jaw.

There is currently no information about the funeral on the personal pages of singer Kasim Hoang Vu and singer Bich Phuong - his mother.

Kasim Hoang Vu was born in 1980 in Da Nang . His mother is Vietnamese, and his father is Egyptian. His mother is the rock singer Bich Phuong.

Stepping out In the Sao Mai Rendezvous competition , Kasim Hoang Vu is known for many songs such as Because of love , The Eyes of Pleiku Chapi's Dream, Searching for the Sun Goddess's Lullaby...

He won gold medals at the Central and Central Highlands Singing Festival in 1996 and 1998, first prize at the Hanoi Television Singing Contest in 1998, and third prize at the National Television Singing Contest in 1999.

He has also acted in films such as The game of love , Died at midnight.

Kasim Hoang Vu and Thu Minh both won 3 awards at the ASEAN Television Golden Voice Festival 2011 , including the gold award in the folk music category, the silver award in the light music category, and the audience's choice award.
