International visitors to Da Nang and Quang Nam have increased sharply.

According to the Da Nang City Statistics Department, in the first six months of 2024, the number of international visitors to Da Nang achieved impressive growth and surpassed the same period in 2019 (before the Covid-19 pandemic).

Statistics show that the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in the first six months of 2024 is estimated at 5.1 million, an increase of 25.6% compared to the same period in 2023. Of these, international guests reached 2.0 million, an increase of 40.3%; and domestic guests reached 3.1 million, an increase of 17.7%.

The average length of stay for overnight visitors over the six-month period was 1.38 days, with international visitors averaging 1.45 days and domestic visitors averaging 1.31 days.

The total number of tourists served by travel agencies in the first six months is estimated at 636,000, an increase of 4.4% compared to the same period in 2023. Of these, international tourists reached 222,000, an increase of 37.3%; domestic tourists reached 383,000, a decrease of 9.3%; and Vietnamese tourists traveling abroad reached 31,000, an increase of 24.8%.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, the total number of tourists visiting and staying in the past six months is estimated at 4,600,000, an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2023. Of these, international tourists are estimated at 3,050,000, an increase of 27% compared to the same period in 2023; domestic tourists are estimated at 1,550,000, an increase of 4% compared to the same period in 2023. Tourism revenue in the first six months of 2024 is estimated at 3,870 billion VND, an increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2023. Social income from tourism is estimated at 9,095 billion VND.

The provincial tourism sector also organized a program to stimulate tourism to Quang Nam in 2024 with the theme "Quang Nam - Green Land of Heritage" and signed a cooperation agreement on tourism and railway development between the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Railway Corporation; signed a cooperation agreement on tourism development between the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the following units and businesses: Thien Minh Group (TMG); Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited; Heineken Vietnam Brewery Company Limited; and signed cooperation agreements between tourism businesses participating in building tourism stimulus packages in 2024...
