OPENING CEREMONY FOR LEVEL 1 SPECIALIST DOCTOR TRAINING COURSE

On the morning of February 4th, at the Son La Provincial Department of Health, Hanoi Medical University held the opening ceremony for the Level I Specialist - Internal Medicine course (full-time, certificate program, 2025-2028). Attending the ceremony were Dr. Cao Xuan Binh, Head of the Personnel and Organization Department of the Son La Provincial Department of Health; leaders from several health units in Son La province; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kim Bao Giang, Vice Rector of Hanoi Medical University, along with faculty and staff of the university and 12 trainees of the course.

The training program for Level I Specialist Doctors in Internal Medicine plays a crucial role in improving the professional skills of doctors at the provincial and grassroots levels in Son La province. This course includes 12 trainees, all doctors from healthcare units throughout the province, and will be trained for 3 years. Upon completion of the course, trainees will be awarded a Level I Specialist Doctor in Internal Medicine degree by Hanoi Medical University.

Dr. Cao Xuan Binh, Head of the Personnel and Organization Department, Son La Provincial Department of Health, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Authorized by the leadership of the Son La Provincial Department of Health, Dr. Cao Xuan Binh, Head of the Personnel and Organization Department, spoke on behalf of the Department's leadership to acknowledge and sincerely thank Hanoi Medical University for its achievements, attention, and support to the Son La health sector over the years. These achievements are the result of the University's sharing, responsibility, empathy, and support; and the efforts, dedication, and enthusiasm of its staff and teachers, which have helped the Son La health sector acquire a team of capable and qualified personnel to meet the increasing demands for scientific and technical advancements, medical services, and the needs of healthcare and health protection for the people. Looking ahead, we respectfully request that Hanoi Medical University continue to pay attention to the training and development of high-quality medical personnel for Son La province; and create favorable conditions for the Son La health sector to continue collaborating in organizing postgraduate training courses in the province. Looking ahead to 2026, the Department of Health plans to continue coordinating with the University to recruit and organize postgraduate training courses and short-term professional knowledge update courses according to the province's needs. The Son La Provincial Department of Health commits to closely cooperating with Hanoi Medical University in organizing training and managing students in accordance with the law and the University's regulations and rules.

Therefore, he urged students to develop a serious and scientific study plan; to dedicate time and effort, and to take advantage of the best experiences from their teachers so that after graduation, upon returning to their workplaces, they can apply the knowledge and skills acquired to practice, contributing to the further development of the province's healthcare system.
