The Dau Pagoda Festival is one of the oldest and most representative Buddhist festivals of the Kinh Bac region, associated with the Dau Pagoda complex, a special national historical site and an ancient Buddhist center of Vietnam. It is not only a religious activity with profound spiritual value but also an opportunity to preserve and promote the unique traditional cultural values of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac region.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai and other delegates performed the rituals of offering incense, beating drums to inaugurate the festival, bathing the Buddha statue on the occasion of the Great Buddha's Birthday Celebration (Buddhist calendar 2570), and releasing doves, praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, abundant harvests, and a prosperous and happy life for the people.

According to the organizers, the Dau region festival is associated with the worship of the Four Deities: Phap Van, Phap Vu, Phap Loi, and Phap Dien – symbols of clouds, rain, thunder, and lightning in the rice- farming agricultural civilization of the ancient Vietnamese people. Over the centuries, the festival has been preserved with many unique traditional rituals, reflecting the rich spiritual and cultural life of the inhabitants of the Northern Delta region.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Huy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tri Qua Ward and Head of the Festival Steering Committee, emphasized that the festival aims to continue preserving and promoting the value of traditional cultural heritage; and at the same time, to promote the image of Bac Ninh province, a land rich in history and culture, to a large number of domestic and international tourists. In addition, the locality focuses on building a civilized, safe, and healthy festival environment, meeting the cultural and religious needs of the people.

This year's Dau Region Festival takes place from May 22nd to 25th with many unique cultural, artistic, sporting , and folk game activities such as card games, chess, men's volleyball, public art exchanges, pigeon release, and the art program "The Four Sacred Laws Shining Brightly for a Thousand Years".
Maintaining and organizing annual festivals contributes to traditional education, strengthens community solidarity, and creates a highlight to attract tourists, promoting the development of local tourism culture.
