Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam, emphasized that the Thailand-Vietnam product exhibition and the 2nd "Meet Thailand" conference in Lao Cai province are important events, affirming the long-standing friendship between Thailand and Vietnam.

According to Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Lao Cai is a land rich in cultural traditions, with a prime location, a modern business environment, and situated on a transportation route connecting trade and economy , especially border trade.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, Hoang Quoc Khanh, requested the Embassy, ​​the Trade Promotion Office, the Investment Promotion Office, the General Department of Tourism , and the Thai Business Association in Vietnam to continue paying attention to and supporting efforts to attract Thai businesses to explore opportunities for investment, business, trade, and tourism cooperation in Lao Cai and other provinces in the Northern Midlands and mountainous regions of Vietnam.

In addition, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh expressed his wish for Thailand to support and facilitate Lao Cai province in organizing experience-sharing programs to develop and promote trade promotion and logistics activities in Thailand.
