(CT) - On May 6, the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones (EPZs) organized the opening ceremony of the "Workers' Market" in response to Workers' Month and the Month of Action for Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2025.

At the opening ceremony, the leaders of the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones called on all levels of affiliated trade unions to actively coordinate and organize activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; promote the implementation of labor laws, promptly resolve policies for workers; compete for excellent workers and creative workers... On this occasion, the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones awarded 20 scholarships to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of nearly 15 million VND; presented 200 gifts (each consisting of 1 million VND in cash and necessities) to workers in difficult circumstances. At the same time, commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for excellent workers and building a strong Trade Union organization.

The "Workers' Market" takes place for 5 days (May 6-10, 2025) at the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Trade Union yard. The market has 11 booths selling essential products, goods and services at preferential prices of 30-70% or more and 2 booths with 0 VND. During the "Workers' Market", the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Trade Union also organizes many practical activities, such as training on occupational safety and hygiene; consulting on social insurance regimes; cultural exchanges; giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances; free haircuts; safe driving training...
