
The exhibition was co-organized by the Department of Information and Statistics, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, and the Science , Technology and Communications Publishing House.
The event is held using a model that combines books, data, technology, and interactive experiences, aiming to spread a reading culture in the digital environment and promote the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is the more than 10 booths of publishers, management agencies, research institutes, and universities, located at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Hanoi .
Pictured is the "Journey of Scientific and Technological Knowledge" space – showcasing exemplary scientific publications reflecting the evolution of knowledge, from traditional printed materials to digital resources and academic databases.

Visitors can directly view and read books by famous scientists who have had a significant influence on Vietnam's development.

This unit has printed and published over 500 books in various fields, such as science and technology, information technology, electricity, electronics, telecommunications, automation, mechanics, metallurgy, architecture, economics , culture and society, etc.
In addition to physical books, e-books were also on display at the exhibition.

At the exhibition space, visitors experience virtual reality technology, recreating the scene of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mr. Tran Dac Hien, Director of the Information and Statistics Department, granted access to the international academic database ScienceDirect to the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology.
Faculty, staff, and students of the Academy will have access to, utilize, and exploit valuable international knowledge resources to support research, training, and innovation. This is the seventh educational institution nationwide to gain access to this academic data source.
At the event, the Science, Technology and Communication Publishing House launched its Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Collection.
According to Mr. Tran Chi Dat, Director of the Publishing House, the book collection comprises high-quality, in-depth works with rich practical value that effectively serve the development of the country.
The bookshelf is expected to become a valuable source of knowledge for managers, researchers, the business community, lecturers, students, and readers interested in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
The 2026 Science and Technology Book Exhibition will be open to the public for two days, May 14th and 15th, at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Ha Dong, Hanoi.
This is one of the activities in response to Vietnam's Science, Technology and Innovation Day 2026 (May 18). This date is associated with the event of President Ho Chi Minh meeting with intellectuals on May 18, 1963, at the First National Congress of the Vietnam Association for the Dissemination of Science and Technology (the predecessor of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations).
In 2013, the National Assembly passed the Law on Science and Technology, unanimously choosing May 18th as Vietnam Science and Technology Day. This event was renamed Vietnam Science, Technology and Innovation Day, according to the new law effective from October 2025.
