The Buddha's Birthday Week features many rich and vibrant activities such as: the opening ceremony and lighting of 7 lotus flowers to celebrate Buddha's birthday; the procession of the Buddha's birth statue and the opening ceremony of the scripture recitation platform; the official ceremony at Quan The Am Pagoda (Dien Nam Trung Ward); and a cultural performance night to celebrate Buddha's birthday.

One of the most anticipated events is the lighting of seven lotus flowers on the Vinh Dien River. This ritual has become a beautiful tradition, a source of pride, and an indispensable spiritual symbol for the local people during each Buddha's Birthday celebration. Following this is the ritual of releasing balloons to pray for peace and national prosperity.
The Buddha's Birthday week lasts until May 22nd (April 15th in the lunar calendar).
