The program featured many unique activities for locals and tourists, such as lion and dragon dances and drum performances, group dances, and various cultural and artistic performances.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh said that this is one of the major events with important significance, contributing to promoting the development of the night economy and creating a highlight in the landscape of the city.

Accordingly, Bach Dang Street is located in a prime location along the picturesque Han River. For a long time, it has been an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists, closely associated with the economic, political , and cultural life of Hai Chau District in particular and Da Nang City in general.

The officially opened pedestrian street will offer residents and tourists a variety of unique cultural, artistic, and street art activities; diverse and abundant commercial and culinary services in a new, spacious, and modern cultural space. The pilot program for the pedestrian street will also create a healthy community environment combined with impressive commercial and service activities.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Chau District also stated that, when visiting the pedestrian street, residents and tourists can not only leisurely stroll along a clean and beautiful route, admire unique bridges and enjoy the beauty of modern and spacious architectural works; but also immerse themselves in a colorful cultural tapestry with vibrant art programs, rich in local identity, promising to bring exciting and unforgettable experiences.

The local authorities also hope that organizations and individuals participating in business activities on the pedestrian street will work together to build a civilized and courteous commercial environment; a friendly and open service attitude; and a sense of responsibility in maintaining hygiene and protecting a clean and beautiful environment. Through this, they aim to create an image of friendly and hospitable Da Nang people, contributing to the development of tourism as a key economic sector of the city.

According to the pilot plan approved by the city, the pedestrian street will be located on the extended Bach Dang road (the section from the Dragon Bridge area to the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, with a length of 1.2km). The Bach Dang pedestrian street project is scheduled to be implemented from now until the end of 2028.

The Bach Dang pedestrian street operates from 3 PM to midnight every day of the week; after this time, all activities and services on the street cease, cleaning is carried out, and the area is restored to its original condition. The pedestrian street has 3 clusters of mobile vending kiosks with 12 kiosks along the entire eastern sidewalk of Bach Dang Street.

The kiosks will use 20-foot containers (6m long, 2.5m wide) and will be invested in and decorated by the business owners themselves. At the same time, there will be 5 clusters of mobile vending carts with 15 carts on the east lane of Bach Dang Street, interspersed with the kiosks.

Regarding traffic management when the pedestrian street is operational, the city will use one lane on the east side of Bach Dang Street on weekdays, while the remaining three lanes will be one-way, with signs indicating a speed limit of 40km/h during certain hours and restrictions on motorized vehicles during certain times.

Once operational, Bach Dang Pedestrian Street will host musical and artistic performances, festivals, events, and street art activities. Notably, the pedestrian route will connect with the pedestrian route across Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and Tran Hung Dao Street, as well as across Dragon Bridge, becoming a key tourist attraction for locals and visitors to Da Nang city.
