The working group was led by Lieutenant Colonel Doan Dac Giang, Head of the Medical Department, 5th Naval Region Command, and Captain Tran Van Tung, Head of the Medical Clinic of Brigade 175, who directly participated along with other doctors and medical staff.
Doctors and medical staff diligently conduct health checkups for beneficiaries of government policies.
This is a regular activity within the military-civilian medical cooperation model, linked to the construction of the 175th Brigade Medical Station in the area. The program not only contributes to healthcare for soldiers, civilians, and policy beneficiaries but also strengthens the solidarity between the military and the people.
The team provided free medical examinations, consultations, and medication to over 300 people.
During this mission, the team provided free medical examinations, consultations, and medication to over 300 people, primarily those receiving social welfare benefits, war veterans, and elderly people living alone. Common illnesses among the residents included digestive disorders, cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal problems, and skin conditions. In addition, the doctors and medical staff guided residents on understanding their health status, treatment methods, and access to healthcare services; they also disseminated information on hygiene practices, malaria and dengue fever prevention, and health protection and disease prevention in their communities.
The activities contribute to caring for the health of people in remote areas and strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people.
This activity is of practical significance, demonstrating the moral principles of "remembering the source when drinking water" and "showing gratitude," contributing to healthcare for people in remote areas; at the same time, it strengthens the solidarity between the military and the people, effectively implements the military's rear-area support policy, and builds a solid national defense posture.
