In accordance with Resolution No. 1 of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, which identifies tourism as one of the four pillars of socio -economic development; the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park eco-tourism, resort, and entertainment project for the period 2021-2030 has been approved, along with the Provincial People's Committee's policy on implementing the eco-tourism project "Exploring the Cypress Trees and Kling Cave". Recently, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board signed a cooperation agreement with AREM Tourism Joint Stock Company to exploit the eco-tourism project "Exploring the Cypress Trees and Kling Cave".

The project is being implemented in sub-areas 643, 645, and 288A of Thuong Trach commune. The total investment capital is nearly 4.3 billion VND, carried out by AREM Tourism Joint Stock Company. The partnership period extends until the end of 2030. The project aims to exploit and promote the values and potential of the World Natural Heritage site to develop tourism in the National Park, specifically by effectively utilizing the tourism product "Exploring the Cypress Trees and Kling Cave" to develop sustainable tourism, meet the increasing demand for sightseeing and exploration from tourists; contribute to diversifying tourism products in the National Park; create jobs, increase income for local people, and contribute to the state budget. The investment items are designed to be minimalist and environmentally friendly. The project includes three tour programs: 1 day, 2 days 1 night, and 3 days 2 nights.

According to Pham Quy Sy, Director of AREM Tourism Joint Stock Company, this is the first tourism product to combine the experience of exploring the rare ancient cypress tree cluster with the magnificent cave system in the Heritage area. Through the exploitation of this tourism product, visitors will not only conquer the magical beauty of nature underground, but also have the opportunity to admire and learn about the biological, historical, and cultural value of the centuries-old cypress forest cluster, which is considered the "green treasure" of Phong Nha-Ke Bang forest.

“This is a new and groundbreaking direction, contributing to the diversification of ecotourism products in the National Park; at the same time, it honors and preserves the value of the pristine forest resources associated with the unique cave system – two important components that create the outstanding global value of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park World Natural Heritage Site…,” Mr. Pham Quy Sy added.

"With a focus on developing sustainable ecotourism, linked to the conservation of nature and indigenous culture, and improving livelihoods for local communities, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board is always striving to find, develop, and exploit new, attractive, and highly experiential tourism products while still ensuring the principles of protecting forest resources, landscapes, and biodiversity…," said Pham Hong Thai, Director of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board.
