Due to the impact of floods in 2025, National Highway 14G suffered severe damage in many places, causing difficulties for people's travel and affecting traffic safety. Therefore, the Da Nang City People's Committee signed Decision No. 74/QD-UBND issuing an order for the construction of an emergency project to remedy the consequences and ensure traffic flow on National Highway 14G. The project will be implemented in the communes of Hoa Vang, Song Vang, Song Kon, and Dong Giang. The construction is scheduled to be completed before April 15, 2026.

According to Mr. Tran Le Minh Tam, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board, to ensure the smooth flow of goods and facilitate travel for the public during Tet (Lunar New Year), the unit has directed contractors to focus on completing repairs to the road base and surface, and paving some severely damaged sections with asphalt concrete or asphalt surfacing. For other damaged areas that have not yet been addressed, the contractor will ensure traffic flow using crushed stone aggregate. The remaining items will be constructed after Tet, with all work completed before April 15th of this year.

On the construction site under the Emergency Construction Order, the project for emergency remediation of natural disaster consequences and ensuring traffic on the DT607 route (Decision No. 473/QD-UBND dated January 31, 2026 of the People's Committee of the city), the contractor will carry out repairs to ensure traffic flow at the intersection of DT607 and DH8.DB starting from February 6th.

Initially, the construction unit will excavate the most severely damaged roadbed on the right side of Provincial Road 607, right at the intersection with Provincial Road 8.DB (in Dien Ban Dong ward), and then pour cement concrete with additives to ensure sufficient hardening after 3 days.

Located in an area with many industrial zones and serving as a gateway to the ancient town of Hoi An, the construction process is taking place amidst heavy traffic, especially heavy trucks, at the intersection. The Department of Construction has therefore temporarily banned trucks with a carrying capacity exceeding 5.5 tons from turning onto Provincial Road 607 (DH8.DB) and from turning onto DH8.DB on Provincial Road 607 (DT607) from February 6th to February 13th.

Engineer Vo Van Vui, a technical officer of the contractor Ky Trung Co., Ltd., said that the 25cm thick layer of cement concrete was completed on the evening of February 8th. Vehicles will be able to travel on it in about three days. After Tet (Lunar New Year), the contractor will complete the remaining intersections and then lay a 5m thick layer of asphalt concrete.

In time to serve travel during Tet holiday.

According to the Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board, the unit assigned by the Department of Construction to carry out infrastructure repairs in the city to ensure traffic safety and urban aesthetics, several intersections and road sections have been completed, and some sections are currently under construction, with the goal of completing them before the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

Mr. Phan Toai Nguyen, Head of the Planning and Investment Department (Da Nang Infrastructure Maintenance Board), shared that the unit has directed and urged the completion of repairs and remediation of the access road to Duy Phuoc Bridge (Ba Ngan Bridge); damaged road surface at the Nguyen Sinh Sac - Nguyen Tat Thanh intersection; and Nguyen Tat Thanh road (railway section - Nguyen Luong Bang).

Repairs and remediation work on the intersections of 2nd September Street - Nui Thanh Street, and Nam Hai Van - Tuy Loan Street (sections managed by the Department of Construction); and road surface and shoulder reinforcement on the DT607B route have also been completed.

Items such as repainting the white and red lines on the median strips and roundabouts on Nguyen Tri Phuong, Nguyen Huu Tho, Dien Bien Phu, Nguyen Van Linh, Vo Van Kiet, 2nd September, 3rd February, Pham Van Dong, and DT603B roads; repainting the yellow and black lines in the Song Han Bridge underpass; and repainting traffic markings on Thuan Phuoc Bridge are being urgently carried out to ensure timely service for people traveling during Tet.

Repair work on damaged roadbeds and surfaces to ensure smooth traffic during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse is also being carried out on National Highways 14B, DT606, and 14D.

Damaged soft rubber bollards at the intersections of Pham Hung - Dinh Gia Trinh, Tran Dinh Nam - Dinh Liet, 2nd September - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Vo Nguyen Giap and Truong Sa roads in the city center, and the DT605 route, as well as the deteriorated steel traffic islands at the intersections of Vo Van Kiet - Dang Vu Hy and Nguyen Van Thoai - Vo Nguyen Giap roads, have all been repaired to ensure aesthetics and traffic safety.

Tan Tien Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company is assigned to manage and regularly maintain National Highway 14H (section from km0+000 to km39+500), Provincial Road 616 and Provincial Road 615B.

According to the company director, Mr. Trinh Quang Vinh, the unit has painted and maintained the traffic safety system on these roads. They have cleared trees, unblocked drains and ditches, and patched potholes to ensure smooth traffic flow for people traveling during Tet. For sections under the Emergency Construction Order project, the managing unit has placed warning signs and barriers at damaged locations, and will implement repairs simultaneously after Tet.
