Affirming the leading position in the capital's healthcare system

On August 22, Xanh Pon General Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate its 105th anniversary of establishment and development, the 55th anniversary of the merger (August 26, 1970 - August 26, 2025) and received the First Class Labor Medal. General Secretary To Lam sent a flower basket to congratulate the achievements of generations of doctors at the hospital.

According to Dr. Nguyen Duc Long, Director of Xanh Pon General Hospital, established in the 1920s, the hospital is now a first-class unit of the city. Over the years, the hospital has continuously improved the quality of medical examination and treatment; improved communication and behavior, implemented the motto "patients are like relatives"; reformed administrative procedures, and continuously developed advanced and specialized techniques to attract patients to come for medical examination and treatment.

Up to now, the hospital has mastered advanced and specialized techniques such as: hip and shoulder replacement, treatment of anterior and posterior cruciate ligament rupture, knee replacement under navigation system... including international techniques such as: laparoscopic surgery to treat biliary atresia, laparoscopic surgery combined with percutaneous needle to treat diaphragmatic hernia in newborns, single-hole/single-incision laparoscopic surgery in children in the treatment of appendicitis, appendiceal peritonitis, inguinal hernia...

The familiar names "Xuong Xanh Pon", "Bong Xanh Pon", "Nhi Xanh Pon"... have penetrated the subconscious of Hanoi people and are the pride of the capital's healthcare system.

The year 2023-2024 marked an important milestone with the success of a single-port laparoscopic surgery to treat a choledochal cyst for an Australian child. To date, the hospital is one of two medical facilities in the world to successfully implement this method, marking a step forward for Vietnamese pediatric surgery and gaining international reputation.

The hospital is also a leading medical facility in digital transformation, which has brought about high efficiency such as: implementing electronic medical records to replace paper medical records (100%); reducing insurance payment errors by ten times; reducing printing, managing and storing paper (90%); increasing work efficiency by 20%; reducing medical errors by 20% and reducing patient waiting time by 30%...

With modern equipment, synchronized from diagnosis to treatment, many advanced techniques in orthopedic trauma, digestion, spine, pediatric orthopedics have been successfully performed, being the first hospital in Hanoi to successfully perform organ transplants... has contributed to enhancing the reputation of the Vietnamese medical industry.

The hospital is always at the forefront of scientific research and international cooperation, especially cooperation with many large hospitals and medical universities in the world in France, Japan, Korea, the United States...
