Inauguration of Than Nhan Trung Library

On the morning of December 14th, at the Than Nhan Trung Doctor's Memorial Temple, the Bac Giang Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, in coordination with the Viet Yen Town People's Committee, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Than Nhan Trung Library.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh - Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Ethnology, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences ; Mr. Nguyen Van Linh - President of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province; representatives of the leadership of several departments, agencies and organizations of the province; and leaders of Viet Yen town.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Than Nhan Trung Library.

With the approval of the Provincial People's Committee, and in coordination with the People's Committee of Viet Yen town, the People's Committee of Nenh ward, and the Than Nhan Trung Library Management Board, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning has allocated 400 million VND to build the Than Nhan Trung Library, including: equipping it with tables and chairs, library bookshelves, and investing in books about President Ho Chi Minh, law books, literature and art, science and technology, agriculture, history, culture, children's books, and books to support students' learning.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Yen town, Than Van Thuan, said that this is a very meaningful project that not only creates conditions for local people to access information and meet their reading culture needs, but also serves tourists visiting the historical site by allowing them to experience an open reading room space and easily access a rich source of materials with many practical benefits.

To ensure the library operates effectively, the comrade suggested that Library Director Than Nhan Trung strengthen the dissemination of information about the Than Nhan Trung Library and the Than Nhan Trung Doctor's Memorial Temple to a wide range of people inside and outside the town, contributing to promoting the reading movement and reading culture among the people, arousing a spirit of learning, and building a culture of continuous learning for all levels of society. At the same time, he urged continued addition of high-quality materials and books. He also suggested organizing and storing books scientifically, creating the most favorable conditions for readers to access books at the library.

The comrade suggested that the Education and Training Department of the town continue to direct schools in the area to organize educational visits and reading sessions at the Than Nhan Trung Library to educate the younger generation about the tradition of studiousness, to appreciate and be more proud of the traditional values ​​of their ancestors, and thereby foster love for their homeland and country.

On this occasion, the Central Association for the Promotion of Learning of Vietnam, the Vietnam Academy of Science, the Bac Giang Provincial Library, the People's Committee of Viet Yen town, the Viet Yen Town Cultural, Information and Sports Center, and Sao Vang Company donated over 1,000 books, worth nearly 400 million VND, to the Than Nhan Trung Library.

At the ceremony, delegates witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Than Nhan Trung Library and toured the Library of the Vietnam Academy of Science.
