Signing a cooperation program on health care for union members and workers in Bac Giang province

On the afternoon of February 19, the Labor Federation of Bac Giang province coordinated with the Department of Health to organize a conference to sign a coordination program on health care for union members and workers in Bac Giang province, period 2025-2030.

Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Canh and Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Thi Thu Huong signed the cooperation program.

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Department of Health signed a coordination program on health care for union members and workers in Bac Giang province, period 2025-2030. Accordingly, the two units will promote the dissemination of legal documents and documents related to labor law policies and health care for union members and workers. Propagate and mobilize business leaders to support and create favorable conditions in terms of time for union members and workers to have full access to health care services. Organize propaganda and consultation activities for workers on health care knowledge in general and reproductive health care in particular for female workers in industrial parks and clusters.

In addition, organize health check-ups for union members and workers in industrial parks and clusters in the province on a number of specialties such as: Endocrinology, ENT, reproductive health; family planning... Guide grassroots unions to inspect and supervise food safety assurance, food poisoning prevention in collective kitchens right from the stage of importing raw materials, food and regulations on food safety conditions; environmental sanitation; prevention and control of infectious diseases in enterprises, especially in worker dormitories. Every year, the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinates with the Department of Health to implement appropriate forms of communication on health care for workers in general and reproductive health care in particular such as: Website, Fanpage, online consultation, text messages, social networks, combining the use of other communication materials to effectively support propaganda and consultation activities for workers. The Department of Health directs its affiliated medical facilities to coordinate with trade unions at all levels to organize health care activities for workers in accordance with the conditions of each medical facility, prioritizing enterprises with many workers, many female workers.

The signing of the coordination program aims to effectively implement Plan No. 1593/KH-UBND dated April 16, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee; Plan No. 01/KH-UBND dated January 4, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee; contributing to the completion of goals, targets, and plans to strengthen protection, care, and improve the health of union members, workers, and population work in the new situation.
