The most frequently discussed topic at village meetings or over cups of fragrant spring tea in Tan An is poverty reduction. For Tan An, poverty reduction is no longer just about statistics, but a revolution in the people's production mindset.
Recognizing that livelihood diversification is the key, the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Tan An commune have flexibly integrated funding from national target programs to build economic models suitable to the local soil. The breakthrough in Tan An's approach is that it goes beyond mere support. The commune implements a policy of providing livestock along with essential supplies and, most importantly, offering hands-on guidance.
Leading us to see his healthy herd of goats grazing on young leaves, Mr. Ma Van Phong from Tho village excitedly said: “As a long-time poor household, we relied solely on a few acres of rice paddies, so poverty clung to us constantly. In 2024, our family received support in the form of 9 breeding goats from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction. This is a valuable source of capital that has helped our family escape poverty.”
Mr. Phong recalled that when he first received the goats, he was so worried he couldn't sleep, fearing they would get sick. But thanks to the close guidance of the technical staff on how to care for them and prevent diseases, he gained confidence. To date, the herd has grown to 14 goats. Earning over 30 million VND annually from selling goats, his family officially escaped poverty at the end of 2024. "This spring is much happier because my children are getting a good education, our house is better furnished, and I feel much more at ease," Mr. Phong said.
Not only Mr. Phong, but also in Chuong village, the atmosphere of labor competition has been vibrant since the beginning of the year. Mr. Ma Van Tu, Head of Chuong village, affirmed: "The 'fishing rod' program combined with technical training has yielded clear results. The villagers no longer have a mindset of waiting and relying on others, but are proactively learning. Currently, many households in the village are raising black pigs, goats, and breeding buffaloes and cows, providing stable income and a noticeable improvement in their lives."
To date, the commune has effectively implemented pig and goat farming projects linked in value chains, supporting 47 poor households and 34 near-poor households with a total budget of over 2.8 billion VND. These figures are proof of the determination to help people rise up and take control of their lives.

The numbers speak for themselves.
The year 2025 has passed with numerous difficulties and challenges from the general economic situation. However, with the determination of the entire political system and the unity of the people, Tan An still achieved impressive results, laying an important foundation for the successful implementation of the Resolution of the First Party Congress of the commune, term 2025 - 2030.
Across the fields, the verdant green of prosperity stretches far and wide. Total food production last year reached 7,526 tons, exceeding the planned target. Furthermore, the green of the forests is also providing a sustainable source of income. With 405.3 hectares of newly planted forest (achieving 111% of the provincial target), Tan An is transforming forestry into a key sector in its development structure.
Transportation infrastructure has also been invested in comprehensively. Over the past year, the commune has completed more than 1.7 km of concrete roads in 10 key villages such as Na Rung, Tan Minh, Tan Hoa, etc. These new roads, reflecting the will of the Party and the people, not only facilitate convenient travel for residents but also open up opportunities for trade and the development of small-scale industries. Local production and business establishments have created seasonal jobs for nearly 200 workers, with estimated revenue exceeding 1.75 billion VND.
Continuing the aspiration for prosperity and well-being.
The vibrant spirit of spring in Tan An is not only reflected in economic figures, but also in every aspect of life. Models like "Flower Roads," "Lighting Up Rural Roads," and "Building Flagpoles" implemented by the Women's Union, Youth Union, and Veterans' Association have completely transformed the rural landscape. At night, electric lights illuminate the village roads, bringing peace and prosperity.
In Party building work, in 2025, the commune nurtured and admitted 12 outstanding individuals into the Party. National unity is increasingly strengthened, and the people have absolute trust in the leadership of the government. This is the "root" for all policies and guidelines to be implemented effectively.
In a discussion about future directions, Comrade La Hong Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tan An commune, emphasized: “The achievements are an important foundation for Tan An to enter the new year 2026 with even greater determination. We will continue to effectively implement the Resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels; focus on developing agriculture and forestry towards concentrated commodity production and value chains. In particular, the commune will focus on digital transformation in production and business and exploiting the local tourism potential to create breakthroughs.”
According to the plan, Tan An will continue to mobilize all resources to synchronize transportation infrastructure, strictly manage forest resources and the ecological environment. Simultaneously, it will focus on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values and building a culture rich in national identity.
The Spring of the Year of the Horse has arrived. In the vibrant spring breeze, the aspiration for a prosperous and civilized Tan An countryside is gradually becoming a reality. The seeds of faith and unity have been sown, promising a bountiful harvest on this land.
