One person is missing due to flooding.

According to a preliminary report from the Provincial Civil Defense Steering Committee Office, due to the prolonged thunderstorms from the night of April 17th to April 18th, localized flooding occurred in river and stream systems throughout the province, causing damage to people and property.

Leaders of Truong Sinh commune visited families whose homes were damaged by the storm.

As of 5 PM on April 18th, one person has been reported missing: Mr. HTT, who was swept away by floodwaters while crossing a flooded bridge (on the route from Cay Da village to Da Ban, Binh Xa commune). The storm also damaged 8 houses in Truong Sinh commune, along with extensive damage to rice paddies and other crops.

Immediately after receiving information about the missing person, the People's Committee of Binh Xa commune mobilized local forces, in coordination with the police, militia, and local people, to implement search plans. However, due to weather conditions and strong currents, the victim has not yet been found.

Many properties belonging to residents of Truong Sinh commune were damaged by the storm.

Authorities are warning people to exercise particular caution when crossing flooded bridges and deep streams during periods of heavy rain and flooding.
